It’s undeniable that the dog days of Summer are made for brunch. There aren’t too many things more refreshing than enjoying a cool drink and a good meal to help beat the heat. And that’s just what The District Miami had in mind when it launched its new brunch this month.

As the newcomer to the Design District, this is The District’s first foray into brunch and the offerings are impressive. Embodying the best dishes of North, South, Central America and the Caribbean, the new brunch menu is crafted by James Beard Foundation semifinalist, Horacio Rivadero.

For those who love sweets for brunch, dishes such as Pineapple Pancakes with lime zest, simple syrup, ancho chile butter ($9), Guava French Toast with Guava Syrup ($10) and 4-Leches Parfait with Macadamia nuts, vanilla caramelized pineapples ($8) fill the menu. If savory is what you crave for brunch items such as the decadent Eggs Benedict on top of brioche, with Benton’s ham and yuzu truffle hollandaise sauce ($11), Spanish Omelet with piquillo peppers, onions and chorizo ($9) and Huevos Rancheros on top of crispy corn tortillas, with chipotle roasted tomato sauce, two sunny side up eggs, avocados, and black beans ($10) will fill you right up.

What could make this brunch even better? How about unlimited mimosas for just $14 a person. If mimosas aren’t your thing, house made white or red sangria, Frescas with six different fruit flavors, Bloody Mary’s and Aperol Spritz are also available to help keep you cool and hydrated.

The District’s brunch menu is available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. with music from a live DJ every Sunday.

A perfect way to spend a warm, Summer weekend, indeed.
