Miami’s cashmere game just stepped up a few notches with the arrival of Loro Piana. The textile and luxury goods retailer’s newest outpost opened late 2016 in the Miami Design District, just in time to outfit Miami’s most stylish in the world’s most delicious cashmere for the holidays.

The new boutique, designed by Misa Poggi and Studio Galbusera in Milan, features a custom staircase and a fresh white storefront with a balcony covered in greenery — a color scheme unique to the brand’s Miami location.

The store brims with thoughtful and luxe touches, subtle nods to both sides of the company’s business.  From furnishings upholstered in the brand’s own Alta Bleu Majorelle fabric (also featured in Loro Piana’s Paris boutique) to the beautiful black and white photos adorning the walls, the décor celebrates the brand’s dual heritage as both the world’s foremost cashmere manufacturer as well as its status as a luxury goods retailer and the single largest buyer of the finest wools.

And did you know? Loro Piana discovered and developed baby cashmere. One of the softest and most luxurious fibers in the world, baby cashmere is combed separately from the fleece before a kid goat is 12-months-old and can only be collected once in the animal’s lifetime.
