Design Miami/ is proud to announce that MIRAX Group will sponsor the prestigious Designer of the Year Dinner, co-hosted by Sergey Polonsky and Dmitry Lutsenko. This exclusive event brings together top design luminaries, celebrities, and taste-makers from around the globe, to honor the extraordinary talent and influence of our 2008 Designer of the Year Award winners. Past winners have included Zaha Hadid, Marc Newson, and Tokujin Yoshioka. Design Miami/ has named Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka the Designer of the Year for 2007. As part of the award, Design Miami/ commissioned Yoshioka to create a permanent installation for the Miami Design District. The installation will be unveiled during Design Miami/ this December 7-9. Construction for the DE LA CRUZ COLLECTION Building on 41st Street will commence this fall. The designer/architect for the project will be John Marquette.Next Event
