In his first project at Dimensions Variable, located in the Design
District in Miami, FL, Jay Hines takes on a character as enigmatic as his own artistic persona, Grigori Rasputin. Rasputin, the infamous Russian mystic and advisor to the Romanov family, is known for his mysterious character and his unusual and prolonged homicide. He has been called everything from a saintly visionary, to a debauched religious charlatan. Jay Hines is no different. Working primarily in drawing and sculpture, Hines is also known for his impromptu and avant-garde musical performances and videos that merge aesthetic and auditory experiences.
