Acconci Studio has been named the 2012 Designer of the Year by Design Miami. Vito Acconci founded Acconci Studio in 1988. The studio was born out of a progression of his focus on architecture and design. As part of the prize, the Acconci Studio will bring their Klein-Bottle Playground, to the Miami Design District by 2014.
The image featured here is Mur’ Island, in Graz, Austria designed by Acconi Studio. Stylistically the two projects share an inside, outisde flowing continuous form. We expect this will become one of this neighborhood's iconic features.
