Renowned model, philanthropist and entrepreneur Isabela Grutman built the brand on a commitment to timeless quality and the idea that wearing jewelry can transform ordinary moments into cherished memories. Retailers including Avi & Co., Curio at Faena., Kith and more have picked up the brand’s collection of fine jewlery. Now, Grutman will open a flagship store for the first time, situated in the Miami Design District’s Paradise Plaza and set to open in May.
The brand’s collection of rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, anklets and body jewlery focuses on designs that are elegant and carefully crafted. Grutman pulls inspiration from her childhood in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and vintage designs to seamlessly blends classic elements with modern innovation. Through a commitment to high quality materials — all pieces feature 14K and 18K fine metals and are created with only natural diamonds and gemstones — Grutman envisions pieces of luxury that will last.
The Miami Design District recently caught up with Grutman to learn more about Isa Grutman Jewelry and her Design District Expansion.
What was the origin story of your jewelry brand?
My jewelry brand was created from a deep passion for everyday jewelry and the art of layering. I love elegant yet versatile pieces that can effortlessly elevate you.
Where do you pull inspiration from in your designs?
I draw inspiration from a diverse array of influences, including my Brazilian roots, my journeys around the world and vintage jewelry. I love exploring my grandmother's jewelry box and admiring my mother's collection.

At Isa Grutman Jewelry, we are committed to quality by exclusively using 14K and 18K fine metals along with natural diamonds and natural gemstones in all our pieces. Our meticulous standards are well understood by our factory, and I personally wear samples extensively to ensure they meet our criteria for durability and comfort. I firmly believe that jewelry should withstand everyday wear and be cherished for generations to come.
What are your favorite everyday jewelry pieces at the moment?
I am loving my new parrot ring as well as all the new pieces from the leaf collection.

What’s one jewelry trend you can’t get enough of right now?
I really love the hand chain trend, people love to switch things up and it adds an element of newness to an everyday stack.
Where are your favorite places to shop and dine in Miami’s Design District?
I love the store selection in the Design District, especially Bottega and Saint Laurent. Of course, my favorite place to dine is at Swan.
